Mitt Romney: "Europe is facing a demographic disaster"

What a Christian leader we have in this country! If that happened in America he would be drummed out of his post, but here no one seems to care enough, he is just a laughing stock.
It's quite something when someone from the Mormon religion has a better grasp of biblical truth than the ABofC. Despite their protests to the contrary, when challenged over their beliefs, Mormons actually hold the bible in very low regard. Their strengths, as evident from the post above, are family values and community cohesion. For a discussion of "Are Mormons Christians?" see Albert Mohler's two extensive posts on the subject, here and here. From the first post:
the answer is made easy, not only by the structure of Christian orthodoxy (a structure Mormonism denies) but by the central argument of Mormonism itself – that the true faith was restored through Joseph Smith in the nineteenth century in America and that the entire structure of Christian orthodoxy as affirmed by the post-apostolic church is corrupt and false.
Ahhh That'll teach me to do some more research before posting ;-)
No, it was a good post, IMO. All the sadder because I thought that you were spot on with your comment:

"I think that there is no doubt who appears to be the most Bible-believing of the two - and it isn't the Archbishop of Canterbury!"

And the prize for the best tabloid headline must go to .... The Sun.

“What a Burqua”

Good post, but I feel I have to comment on the Marriage thing again. Excuse me if I am repeating myself :)

Marriage is not a pre-requisite to a good stable relationship and for a childs healthy upbringing (imho). I understand that it is required/desired in certain belief systems etc, but I think we do well to remember that it isn't in others. So to say "68% of African American children are born out-of-wedlock.....etc,etc" doesn't actually say very much.

Also..."That is the inevitable product of weakened faith in the Creator, failed families, disrespect for the sanctity of human life and eroded morality" is just plain silly. I'd like to think that I have respect for the sanctity of human life* and I don't believe I fit in to the catagory of 'eroded morality'**, but I don't follow and have faith in what he calls 'the Creator'.

*- Probably more so than a lot of Christians if my observations are correct.
**- This is for someone else to judge I suppose.
